Policies and Rules

Peak Season/Special Dates

Minimum stay dates and peak season rates may apply for national and local holidays and events.

Check-ins/Check-outs

Standard check-in time is 3.00pm
Standard check-out time is 10.00am

Late Check-outs

Late check-outs up to 12 noon can be purchased at a rate of $20 per additional hour after 10.00am and must be organised in advance. Late check-outs after 12 noon will incur a full night booking fee. Guests who do not arrange a late check-out will be charged a full night booking fee.

Late Night Arrivals and Tours

Guests entering and exiting the property between the hours of 10.00pm and 6.00pm are required to limit all noise (indoors and outdoors) including while on the street. The apartments are located close together and some are connected. Guests who do ignore requests to reduce their noise leve will be charged a $60.00 disturbance fee.

Damages

All damages must be notified to the host. The host will determine if a damage fee will apply. If the damage is serious, estimates or quotes will be provided to the guest and the guest’s insurer. Non-notified damages will be charged to the guests’ credit card at the owners’ discretion.

Children and Minors

Children under the age of two may stay free of charge. Children over the age of two are charged as a standard person. All persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Apartment Servicing

Extra towels and amenities will be provided for long stays of 3+ days and can be requested at any time.

Cleaning

The apartments are self-catering. The apartment is to be left tidy, with a clean kitchen and the dishes put away or in the dishwasher. Guests do not need to remove their rubbish, as the local authority has strict recycling requirements so we prefer to manage this for you.

Smoking

There is no smoking on the property. There is a smoking fine of $500 for guests who smoke in the room to cover the cleaning of linen, carpets and furniture in the room, plus any costs to re-accommodate subsequent guests.

No Party Policy

There is a strict no party policy at all times.

Events Beyond Control

Scott Street Apartments is not responsible for any loss arising out of any occurrences or conditions beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of terrorism, act of God, defects in vehicles, war, strikes, theft, delay, cancellation, civil disorder, disaster, Government regulations or changes in itinerary or schedule. All travel documents, observance of laws and government regulations are your responsibility.

Payment Terms

All reservations shall be paid at least 24 hours before your arrival date.  The 24-hour period begins at 3.00pm. Full refunds will be made if the reservation is cancelled before 24 hours prior to the commencement of the reservation (e.g. before 3.00pm of the day before the reservation starts).

Cancellation Policy

If a booking is cancelled prior to 24 hours of the commencement of the reservation a full refund will be given. If a booking is cancelled within 24 hours of the commencement of the reservation, the first night accommodation fee will be charged. The cancellation fee may be refunded in full if the apartment is rebooked.
